Ehhh, i might return. Let's see what happens.

So, i was extremely busy the last few months and i just remembered that i still had this blog up...
But hey, if i get some more time on my hands, i think i'll be back. And instead of just posting artists i respect or decide to cosign, i might just be another blogger who posts whatever's on his mind. I'll think about a comeback, but since not a whole lot of people come here, idk. Big shouts to my brother, Mike, who actually contributed to this blog by commenting. I still love you man, and best wishes in the National Guard.

Lamont Coleman

Big L, as he was known as, is one of the best rappers to ever hold a mic.
Lyrically, he combined intellect with street knowledge to make the dopest lyrics i've ever heard.
He even taught people how to decipher "Ebonics".
He's easily in my top 10 DOA list.
Yea, me posting this is kinda random, but lately i've been listening to more and more of his music and i see where a lot of today's rappers have gotten their style from. Honestly, it's a bit surprising...

Scary Kids Scaring Kids

(Posted for P-Rock)
So, thought i'd post some other forms of music.
SKSK, as some know them, is a rock band from somewhere (clearly i didn't look too much into them).
They are actually pretty good, but not exactly something i would listen to all the time, but talented nonetheless.

T-D-O-U-B-L-E

So, it's about time i posted Turbo on here.
Plain and simple, he's a beast, 'nuff said.
Not only is he an amazing lyricist, he also takes the time out to talk to fans. Sure it sounds a little fanboyish for me to say that, but he's not like some of these guys who think they're too good to answer fans.
Hit him up, he will reply (for the most part).

Lyrical skill - Insane
Beats - Insane
Flow - Insane

Anyone see a pattern here?
Well he's really that good.
Don't believe me? Check him out for yourself.

Samples

So, since i saw that i have 15 total views, people don't care enough to comment on my posts...
It's all good though.
So, sampling.
Crazy stuff... Since i've been listening to a lot of classic rap lately, i noticed things that have been sampled by new artists. I heard Lord Finesse's "Bad Mutha" and immediately knew that Nas' "Get Down" sampled this song. Then, i looked into it and saw that Lord Finesse sampled James Brown (RIP greatness). And then i found another James Brown song that Rakim's "Lyrics of Fury" sampled! All this was fairly shocking to me. But then i realized, this happens on an everyday basis.

Drake

So, it appears that "wheelchair Jimmy" has grown up.
Drake, as many of you know played Jimmy on DeGrassi.
Drake, is also an up-and-coming rapper/vocalist. And a damn good one at that.
His great lyrics are played over great beats and create great great music (Frank Caliendo's John Madden impression is attached to me).
Seriously, he's a talented musician all around... Check him out below.

Music I miss.

Yea....
I miss the good ol' days. Back when music had emotion and meaning. When lyrical skill had something to do with respect.
Not that there isn't any good lyricists out there today, because there are a few that I know of.
I'm not gonna mention any names because I know I'm going to indirectly leave some out.
